Dear ,

I often take up residence in my art and writing and because of that, I am given with a confidence that helps me in every aspect of my life. And believe me, I didn't always have it. I plunge into the process, into the timelessness,  ageless flow and wonder that creativity gives me, and it removes from the tumult of the world.  My love for life is continually renewed and available even when the world, at every turn, seems to have lost its way.

We can’t rely on external events to bring us happiness. They are constantly changing, and in many ways are badly on the fritz right now.  But we can trust that we can handle what’s happening and that sense of trust liberates our energies to focus on what we love, not on the fear that is running rampant. Fear is normal, it won't be quiet, but being consumed by it is optional.

That inner-power can be cultivated with guided creative experiences where we are gently steered to resilience by fostering the passion, perseverance and self-belief it takes to start an endeavor and follow through with it. This builds the self-trust that gives us power, freedom, and joy.

But it’s crucial that the guidance be done not in accordance with the typical pressure, comparison, or a standard of perfectionism that many classes and individuals espouse, which an approach that leads to avoidance, procrastination, frustration, or giving up on a process that can lead to the discovery of something new to love in addition to the creation of a world of our own.

The best kind of guidance allows for imperfection, individual differences, and a journey that doesn’t always require hard-ass consistency, but instead makes the creative process desirable because it's kinder and more fun.

All this points to how it is worth following your creative call. And believing in your ability to make it your own. It gives you a world where they know you and keep you safe.
