Coming this October, The Adventure Center is hosting the family-friendly Haunted Trail
The no-touch no-contact outdoor Haunted Trail is the only Halloween event in Asheville that is ideal for children ages 3-12 years old. Experience a family-friendly heart pumping walk with live actors (at a distance), spooky sounds, and spectacular props. The younger ghouls can enjoy the (actor-free) “Sweet Peek Tour” of the Trail at 6:30pm before it gets dark.
This year The Treetops Adventure Park Aerial Glow Trail will also be available for ages 4 and over. Climb on one family-friendly aerial trail while it is illuminated with thousands of colored twinkle and laser lights.
In addition to the Trails, there will also be spooky live entertainment, no touch activities while in line, and food and beverages available including hot chocolate. It is a perfect way to celebrate the Halloween season with the family.

Adventure Center of Asheville- Adventure Afterschool
Afterschool Fall Fun! Weekly outdoor programs designed to supplement an altered school day by providing immersive adventures for your 5-8 or 9-15 year-old student. Under the care of our trained adventure staff, participants will explore over 100 acres of beautiful mountain space, conduct experiments while they traverse high ropes and team-building elements, and climb trees combining experimental science with high adventure. Come join us for an unforgettable fall adventure!
- $129/week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- Ages 5-8 years old: 12:00 pm-2:45 pm
- Ages 9-15 years old: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
- Weekly September 14-October 2 on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays

Kolo Bike Park Afterschool Bike Club
During the amended school schedule, join the Kolo Afterschool Bike Club to grow your skills and enjoy fun afternoons on bikes! Spend the afternoon working on bike handling and riding all the trails and features of the park. Students must be comfortable riding bikes off-road, as this is not a club to teach kids how to ride or for beginners.
Kolo is excited to be able to offer local students a great afternoon activity in an open-air environment on over 100 acres. Come shred and enjoy mountain biking with us!
- $250/month on Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Ages 5-8 years old: Little Rippers Club from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm
- Ages 9-15 years old: Big Senders Club from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm

Join us Saturdays this Fall from 10am-4pm for our awesome Fall Shred Sessions! These outdoor facilitated programs by experienced mountain bike counselors are for riders ages 8-15 to refine their bike skills, build confidence on pump tracks, berms and jumps and have fun with other mountain bikers. Campers must be comfortable riding bikes on purpose built and natural trails and pump tracks.

This fall, our urban zipline canopy tours are available for private trips with two options. The Full Tour is a trip with 11 ziplines and 3 sky bridges in treetop platforms on several large adventure towers with mountain and skyline views of Asheville. It includes the Skyline zip where you fly side-by-side with a friend for 1,200 feet. The three sky bridges are opportunities to slow down and look around in our largest trees to learn about the history of the city and the trees. Our Express Tour is just a shorter version with 7 ziplines and 1 skybridge. Currently, we are booking up to 8 people on each of our canopy tour trip times. However, if you would like a private tour, let us know. Private tours are a great way to celebrate with friends or family or to offer more social distancing with other guests.

Ride Kolo Bike Park for $5 after 5pm on Thursdays this Fall. With about 4 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails and features on a rolling terrain, it’s a perfect mountain bike sampler pack for all ages and abilities. Littleville, our bike park playground, is now open for our youngest shredders! Rentals are also available. Check out our park conditions at 828.225.2921.

Bring your homeschool friends, family or group for an Epic Adventure. Choose one or more adventure activities (like our Treetops Park, KidZip or Kolo Bike Park) and add on an optional NC/SC curriculum or a team building program for a full day of fun! At the Adventure Center of Asheville, there are so many unique outdoor Birthday Party options in one location at our Kid Zip, Treetops Adventure Park, and Kolo Bike Park!
Stepping out of your comfort zone and riding a hang glider that is 30 feet in the air or zipping off a 25 foot platform or crushing a berm or gap jump is an exhilarating experience that the birthday boy or girl, their family and friends will not forget!
- Not only can we provide EPIC FUN, but our activities also include problem solving, team bonding, working and laughing together!
- You can bring your own cake, party snacks and drinks and use our picnic tables instead of cleaning your house. Twice!
- Benefits of being outdoors are immeasurable! And you don’t have to be cramped inside a hot, loud space.

- Open all year- we love to host Winter Birthdays ! Just put on a coat and enjoy the beautiful sunny winter days in Asheville, NC.
At the Treetops Park, each participant can choose their level of challenge (once they are old enough). So if there are kids that are nervous they can climb on lower trails while those who are very adventurous can climb a higher trail and they are all in the same space laughing with each other!
Our Kid Zip in the only place for kids under the age of 8 years old to Zipline in WNC. And this park is made especially for their weight and size. They will Zip the park many times in 2 hours and gain confidence in themselves!
At Kolo Bike Park, parent chaperones are free when escorting younger kids on our trails. And kids can enjoy the trails, two pump tracks, jump line and skills area.
