"We have a flock that we belong to … even if sometimes it doesn’t feel like it… When are ourselves and climb through the window, we find them. Be kind to yourself."
~ From Shepherd's Pie Episode 2, Season 1 Daydreams of Muses

Dear ,

It's been awhile since my I've had a book published and although my art has been keeping me in a tantalizing tango, love for the subconscious spillings of words onto pages is a "high" that knows no equal for me.  I've been missing a long-tern relationship with a writing project. Writing is my first love.

As a creativity expert, I know that sometimes creativity takes a hiatus whether we like it or not. She has a mind of her own for reasons known and unknown. Experiencing that hiatus personally is much more painful than knowing about it theoretically, but through it, I've trusted she'd be back. Trust is a powerful force in the creative process even if it's not 100% in operation... I just didn't know when or how my writing would be back, because gee, it had been awhile.

A few weeks ago, the stars came together and shot a dazzling AHA! across the galaxy of my mindful attention and the constellation in the sky said "PODCAST" with an asterisk that said *MAKE IT SHORT!!!! So my creativity birthed a very different kind of podcast ... but it needed to be short!!!!! for the 2020 attention span.

I call it Daydreams of Muses and it disguises creative inspiration in off-beat   quirky, metaphorical stories designed to relax, amuse, and inspire your creative sanity during a rather insane time.

The lastest episode is called Shepherd's Pie and is all about grace, belonging, and what happens when you climb through a window feet first.
Here's a taste of Shepherd's Pie

"Jill Badonsky serves us a real treat, allowing us to ride the whimsies in her creative mind! She sparks every sense, capturing our wandering attention yet setting it free at the same time. In such small delicious bites, she ultimately leaves me hungry for more! πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹πŸ¦‹" ~HKM/SD for Butterfly Thoughts

Elke Trittle is one of my favorite artists. Use her painting (click to make it bigger) as inspiration for the following:

Writers:
Continue with one of these sentences in poetry or prose:

I've noticed the planets have...

The sky is red today....

Artists:
Render your own version of this image in blind, partial blind, or full sight. Modify it with your own designs, shapes and colors. Color it in and notice how relaxing that is.

Share with me if you are so inclined, I'd love to see.

Let’s get into that playful state that makes art possible. Using fleeting multimedia projections, poetry, music, the silly and absurd, you will be tricked into effortlessly colliding with your true creative voice without overthinking or scaring it away. Any perfectionistic tendencies, comparison to others, hesitancy, and/or immobilizing self-judgment will be terribly confused and ask to be excused.  More information here
