We have been very fortunate here at the Center For Peace that we have had some of the most amazing animals to share our world.
Sadly one of the really good ones, FRODO, has passed over the rainbow bridge. If you have been to the Center in the past few years, you have been escorted to the meadow by Frodo. He would tirelessly run up and down the hill so that every car possible was escorted to the meadow. In the past few months, Frodo has been slowing down. In mid June he disappeared as some old animals do. We think it was to save us despair.
We will miss you Frodo. You were a Good Boy.

COVID-19 affects us all:
We will not be able to gather this year for the SunMoon Dance as normal.
2020 Sun-Moon Ceremony
July 17th-20th
Center For Peace
Seymour, TN
led by: Steve Citty
There will be a ceremony held at the Center For Peace the weekend of the dance, July 17-20. It is not yet clear exactly what that ceremony will be. More information is forthcoming. Anyone interested will be invited to attend in spirit from their own home base.
"Vibration moves in and through all things; is all things. At the physical essence of our existence, the atomic and sub-atomic levels, there is only vibration. We are vibration and we are constantly harmonizing with vibrations in our near presence. That is the magic of the dance. The Drum carries the vibration of the Tiwa chants of ancientness and we resonate with that vibration as we discover the potentialities of our own beingness and remember who we are."
~ echo
We are grateful to Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow for his clarity, and courage and for his magnificent gift—this way of discovering our true relationship with and in all things, and ultimately, ourselves.
The SunMoon Dance comes from a vision of Oneness and Peace. Joseph brought this vision of the SunMoon Dance to the Center for Peace and many other dance locations around the world.
The Seymour SunMoon Dance is an intensely personal experience that allows the participants time to experience themselves as beings of light. There are no other responsibilities, and no facilitator describing the experience to you. It is your experience.

Fire Ceremony
Tuesday, July 7th
6:45 pm
~ led by Katy Koontz
The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.
Come to the fire ceremony if you enjoy focused meditation, if you are looking for new ideas and insights, if you seek to release and transmute something that does not serve you, if you want to join in the service of healing the oceans (both physical and cosmic) or if you’re simply called to participate in a ceremony that honors this powerful elemental force.
We suggest you arrive by 6:45 pm.
All are welcome.
Donations are appreciated.

Saturday July 11th ~No Sweat Lodge
|
Social Distance Drumming
July 11th
2020
11:00 am - 12:00 noon
Led by: Nan Citty
and Steve Citty
This month we will hold the Social Distance Drumming at the Center.
We will continue this month to hold a social distance drumming ceremony in place of a first Saturday Sweat Lodge. It is our determination that it is not responsible in these times of ongoing global pandemic for the Center For Peace to hold a ceremony that places a number of people in a very confined area for a long period of time, thus sweat lodges will not be held until later in the year. (We hope!)
July's scheduled drumming will be held at the Center For Peace. Bring your own drum. We will spread out throughout the meadow and connect through the beat of the drum. We will be outside and able to remain separated by at least 10 feet.
This is an opportunity to be physically together and maintain safety protocols.
We hope you are able to join us, however, if you cannot join us, set aside the time, pull-out that beautiful drum of yours, feed it, and prepare your space and joint us on the drumbeat on Saturday.

Come Join our New Awareness Group
We would like to introduce our new “Center for Peace Awareness Group” hosted by Dona Walker and Sandy Palmer. We will start with a Facebook page inviting all that would like to learn more about raising our vibration to help us navigate through these times of illness, painful division, and societal disruption.
Are you feeling the Shift that is happening? Do you feel we are in a Global transition? Are you sensing Separation? This is the time to create a stronger community. To re-connect with each other and help us all remember we are not alone during this time. We cannot stay in fear or allow toxic thoughts to guide us. It is time to take back our Power! This group will help us rediscover the tools we need to raise our vibration and shift our energy. We will incorporate prayer, meditation, intention setting, drumming, journeying and much more to achieve this goal.
Our “Center for Peace Awareness Group” Facebook page will allow us to communicate with each other and plan for our weekly virtual Zoom meetings, (which are by invitation only). Our first meeting is Wednesday, July 29th at 6:30 PM. Please look for our new link on the Center for Peace Facebook page to join. When we are able, we will start meeting in person at the Center.
A belief is seen as working when it helps us to experience:
- divine presence instead of abandonment
- healing instead of suffering
- forgiveness instead of judgment
- hope instead of meaninglessness
- love instead of fear
- unity instead of separation
- power instead of depression
- freedom instead of guilt

We are asking for sponsorship through monthly donations.
These donations do not need to be large but if those who love the Center for Peace could help by committing a few dollars on a monthly basis it could be the difference between always hoping that someday we will be able to build or provide those needed areas (i.e. showers, sleeping areas, restrooms) and actually making it happen.
If you have participated in any of the programs, offerings, and events that occur on an ongoing basis at the Center for Peace you have already felt the personal blessings from these activities. Our mission is to be a Spiritual Center for our community which extends to anyone open to this learning path.
