Preventing Soul Loss
with Robert Levy
April 6th * 5:30 pm 8:00pm
Shaman’s believe that the soul is not one complete part but made up of many parts, and when all the parts that comprise the soul are present, we are complete.

Imagine a 100 piece puzzle, and each piece oversees one part of your personality, your likes and dislikes, what makes you happy or sad or afraid, etc. The soul is the part of us that gives us our sense of identity and answers the question, Who are we? Shaman’s also believe that the parts of the soul are very protective of its entirety. When an event occurs that traumatizes us, one piece of the puzzle, the part that oversees what has been traumatized, escapes, allowing the remaining pieces to stay together, to stay with you. But that missing part also means we are not whole.

This is a very simplified explanation of what soul loss is.
Why is it important to have that part return? What if the soul part that left was the part that oversaw creativity. What if a young artist, painting in a building that rented spaces to artists, caught on fire and our artist was almost killed but escaped unhurt. When the artist has recovered, what if he/she finds everything difficult. What if the colors don’t look right or the object being painted just isn’t being portrayed the way the artist has envisioned? One reason for this, soul loss.

We all have experienced soul loss. With some people, the puzzle is almost complete. With others, the puzzle may have more parts missing than are present.

Returning a soul part to its proper place can be done in two ways. The first is a Soul Retrieval, which will not be discussed in this class, and the second, what we will do, is to prevent the soul loss from occurring in the first place.

After discussing at length what and how the participants in the class are going to do, we will be breakup into groups of two. Each person will have the time to discuss with his/her partner about a time in their lives where they think soul loss might have occurred. Then, using the shamanic journey, each person will journey back in time and prevent the loss from occurring.

I believe that those people who choose to attend this class should not only know how to journey, but will also have a spirit guide that they can ask to accompany them. For some, this may be a very difficult journey, and if a spirit guide who you have a relationship with and trust, comes with you, it will make the journey easier.
