Similar to a mandala or sacred creation, the Despacho (a South American medicine bundle) holds symbolic elements and the prayers of the participants. As the elements are added to the Despacho (inside a large piece of paper), the vibration of the participants and the room raises. The Despacho becomes a living prayer that brings energy shifts, healing and balance.
On September 26, we will be building our next community Despacho during the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the Autumnal Equinox. This is the day when the nights and the days are of equal length - a day of perfect balance. Because the moon at this time is so bright in the night sky, it gives farmers more time to harvest their summer-grown crops.
What is your harvest? Have you been working toward a home, business or educational goal, or taking classes for self-improvement? Or maybe, like the trees who let go of their leaves in the Fall, there is something you need to release so you can come back into balance with your soul's journey. Come join us in creating a Gratitude Despacho - whether in gratitude for the coming harvest of your efforts or to let go of the goals or situations that no longer serve you and doing so with gratitude for whatever lessons you might harvest from the experience.
