Soul Mending: How to Heal Spiritual Traumas
with Soul Retrieval
A Weekly Class (5 Sessions) Thursdays, March 22 – April 19, 2018, 8 – 10 pm
When we experience trauma, the psyche’s survival strategy is often to suppress difficult feelings in order to carry on, but this takes its toll on the soul. Traditional shamans view this “soul loss” – the wounding of a person’s spirit as a result of trauma, often at an early age – as a leading cause of physical and psychological dysfunction. The shamanic approach to healing this condition, known as soul retrieval or soul mending, is to journey into the inner spirit world, retrieve the lost part of the soul, and reintegrate it into the psyche to return to wholeness. In this class, we’ll learn shamanic techniques for traveling to the spirit world, diagnosing soul-loss symptoms, developing the ability to “see” the source of our own and others’ traumas, and performing soul retrieval.
