The "Shamanic Doctoring Fundraiser" has two main objectives. One, to make accessible high quality and low priced medicine services to all individuals. Second, to raise money and awareness to advance the NYSC's mission of supporting indigenous wisdom and creating an earth of harmony and balance for all living beings.
This year's Fundraising goal is to acquire a permanent home! The NEW NY Shamanic Center - a sacred community space that will keep the medicine of our elders and make it available to all those in need. This will be in the form of services and education helping people of all walks advance in their shamanic and indigenous/traditional medicine studies.
"Shamanic Doctoring" is a term introduced to the NYSC community by, Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, an elder of the NYSC and author of the Coyote Medicine Series. It involves listening to an individuals story and calling upon helping Spirits to guide the individual through their body, soul and spirit into ultimate healing.
For the first time in our history, the NYSC will combine the event with a Summer Solstice-Father's Day Ceremony! Taita Inti - Father Sun and all father's will be celebrated and given gifts of love and appreciation for their divine presence on Earth. A powerful evening of dance and song will end our day of healing with blessings and shamanic magic!
