NEW Monthly Teachings - 2nd Sunday

Elders' Wisdom Teachings
Honoring the Elders - October 16, 2016
In 2016 we held an Honoring the Elders gathering at the Center For Peace. This gathering brought into sharp focus how many wonderful teachers there are who have an association with the Center For Peace and an abundance of wisdom to share.
In 2017 the Center is poised to experience a resurgence in energy, fueled by new participants who are looking for the teachings that our elders can provide.
The Council decided to launch a monthly Elders' Wisdom Teaching program to be held the second Sunday of each month. (The teaching in May will be held on the 3rd Sunday to allow Mother's Day celebrations.)
Over the past 30 years of the Center's existence, there have been innumerable teachers who have come to share their teachings with us. It would be impossible to recall all of those teachers to return; however, our elders were here for those teachings, they have internalized that information and enriched it with other experiences in other settings and in many cases around the country and around the world.
It is our hope that these gatherings will enrich the lives of seekers as well as long time members of the Center.

Fire Ceremony
Tuesday, March 7th
6:45 pm
~ led by Katy Koontz
The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.
Come to the fire ceremony if you enjoy focused meditation, if you are looking for new ideas and insights, if you seek to release and transmute something that does not serve you, if you want to join in the service of healing the oceans (both physical and cosmic) or if you’re simply called to participate in a ceremony that honors this powerful elemental force.
All are welcome.
We suggest you arrive around 6:45 pm.
Donations are appreciated.

Monday Night Meditation
Every Monday
7:30pm-9:00pm
Several of the people who have been attending the Tuesday Night "Drumming, Meditation and Channeling" over the past several years have joined together as a group to continue on this path.
Since the group is evolving, we will be working on different subjects agreed on by the group:
- guided meditation
- Reiki instruction
- we will listen to audio books or programs as a group
- discuss whatever comes in the door
- and many other subjects.
We look hopefully forward to the occasional night that Perry might join us.
We look forward to seeing you this coming Monday, February 27th at 7:30.

We are asking for sponsorship through monthly donations.
These donations do not need to be large but if those who love the Center for Peace could help by committing a few dollars on a monthly basis it could be the difference between always hoping that someday we will be able to build or provide those needed areas (i.e. showers, sleeping areas, restrooms) and actually making it happen.
If you have participated in any of the programs, offerings, and events that occur on an ongoing basis at the Center for Peace you have already felt the personal blessings from these activities. Our mission is to be a Spiritual Center for our community which extends to anyone open to this learning path.
